TCPA Compliance Notice
The federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA") and related state laws regulate marketing calls, prerecorded messages, and SMS to phone numbers. This page explains exactly how corporateevents.at handles consent, calls, texts, and opt-outs.
1. What we collect
We collect a phone number on every lead-quote form. The phone field is accompanied by an unchecked-by-default consent checkbox next to the field, with the following exact text:
"By checking this box and providing my phone number, I consent to be contacted by corporateevents.at and the venue partners I'm requesting quotes from at the number provided, including by autodialer, prerecorded voice, and SMS, regarding my event inquiry. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. See our Privacy Policy and Terms."
2. What we record
For every lead submission with TCPA consent, we record and retain:
- Checkbox state (must be true to submit)
- IP address (hashed with SHA-256 + site secret)
- User agent
- Full source URL of the form
- Full HTML snapshot of the form as shown to you (stored in R2)
- Exact consent text and version
- Timestamp (UTC)
Retention: 4 years from last contact (TCPA statute of limitations + buffer).
3. Who may contact you
- Venue advertisers who purchase your lead (up to 3 venues per lead in our shared model). They receive your phone number because you specifically requested quotes from venues in your category and city.
- corporateevents.at — only for transactional matters directly related to your inquiry (confirmation, follow-up if no venue responds within 72 hours, lead-quality QA in rare cases).
We never sell your phone number to third-party marketers, list brokers, or unaffiliated parties. Your phone is not added to any general marketing list.
4. How they may contact you
- Voice calls — yes, the venues may call you, including using prerecorded or autodialed messages, because you provided express written consent. They may not call before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m. in your local time zone (we enforce 8 PM in advertiser guidance).
- SMS / text messages — venues may text you to follow up on your inquiry. Phase 1 of corporateevents.at does not send marketing SMS itself; we deliver leads to venues via email and dashboard alert. If we expand to SMS-based lead delivery in the future, we will require an additional opt-in confirmation text (reply YES to confirm).
5. STOP (opt-out)
If a venue contacts you via SMS, replying STOP to that message immediately ends their texts to you and adds you to their internal Do-Not-Contact list. Replying HELP returns contact info for that venue.
To opt out of all communications from corporateevents.at and any venue that received your lead via our platform, email book@corporateevents.at with subject "STOP" and your phone number. We will:
- Add your number to our internal global Do-Not-Contact list within 24 hours.
- Notify all venues that received your lead in the past 30 days, with the same Do-Not-Contact instruction.
- Confirm opt-out completion via email within 5 business days.
6. Quiet hours
Federal TCPA prohibits marketing calls before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. in the recipient's local time zone. Several states (FL, MA, NY, etc.) have additional quiet-hour rules. We require all venue advertisers to honor 8 p.m. as the universal cutoff for outbound contact. Violations can result in advertiser suspension.
7. Federal + state Do-Not-Call (DNC)
Express written consent (the TCPA consent checkbox you signed) overrides federal/state DNC list registration for the specific relationship you established by submitting the lead form. However, you can revoke that consent at any time by emailing STOP as described above. Once revoked, all DNC protections re-apply.
8. Phone validation
To detect fraudulent submissions, we run every submitted phone number through Twilio Lookup at submission time. We use the result solely to block clearly-disposable / fake numbers. We do not use Lookup data for any marketing or profiling purpose.
9. Texts you receive that aren't from a venue you requested
If you receive a text claiming to be related to corporateevents.at and you did not submit a lead form, it is fraudulent. Please:
- Reply STOP.
- Forward the text (or a screenshot) to book@corporateevents.at with subject "Fraud report".
- Report it to reportfraud.ftc.gov.
10. Class-action waiver and arbitration
Disputes related to TCPA compliance involving us are subject to the governing law and dispute-resolution provisions in our Terms. Nothing in this Notice waives your right to file a complaint with the FCC, FTC, or your state attorney general.
